Wal-Mart and RFID Chips

Well my post before this one was about how Wal-mart could run a successful business and should give the government some pointers.  Well, this link is a great segue to that story because it seems Wal-mart is acting more and more like the government as they soon will be tracking their customers.

Wal-mart has announced that they are going to install on garments (underwear and jeans) with a scannable, electronic ID cards and tags starting on August 1, 2010.  This is a real-time tracking system for controlling inventory and preventing theft.  These are removable Radio Frequency ID Tags (RFID'S) that will allow their employees to track and identify which sizes are missing from the shelves and what additional items remain in the storerooms and all of this will be done with the use of handheld scanners.

Dr. Katherine Albrecht is a syndicated talk show host and privacy campaigner who can be heard on this link while being interviewed by George Noory during the show, Coast to Coast AM.  Katherine says 250 Million Spy Chips (RFID's) will be used in this campaign.  She wrote a book called Spy Chips and talked about the book on Coast to Coast back in 2006 and says now it is happening.  These are LIVE spy chips that will be on the items that you bring home from Wal-mart and can be read through your walls or even scanned at your curb through your "Hefty" trash bag.

Why is this a concern?  Because these are transmitters that will allow a reader to drive by your home on trash day and track what you bought and link it to where you live, what you bought, where you bought it and ultimately, "Big Brother" is watching.  This is called "Talking Trash" in the book Spy Chips.  Bell South which is the parent company for Singular Wireless actually patented a way to scan people's garbage at the dump without even opening the bag and link it back to the person who had bought it and sell those records to marketers.

This all ties into the enhanced Driver's Licences or Electronic Passports that many Americans already have and it gets pretty scary.  Wal-mart is going to be putting RFID readers into their stores.  Not only do these readers emit electro-magnetic radiation which European research has shown damages DNA and reproductive organs where you are going to standing in front of shelves emitting this energy.  This RFID scanner would be mounted on the shelf at Wal-mart and will not only be tracking their merchandise but it will be tracking you if you have one of these E-Passport or an enhanced driver's licenses in your pocket or purse.  What that means is they will be able to profile you.  Their market researchers have already said that they want to use this technology in their stores to track people.  To do things like identify a persons value to the store and change the prices as they approach the shelf.  This would be similar to the guy on the airplane that paid a different price for his plane ticket than you did for you.  NCR (National Cash Register Corporation a Wal-marts retail partner) is deeply involved with RFID and NCR has large plans on how to use this new technology in stores and they even have additional plans to watch you when you get home with these chips as well.

Since 2002 Katherine Albrecht has been speaking out on this subject and she is concerned that with the depressed economy people are not paying attention and need to speak out against this.  Wake Up America! Let your local Wal-mart know how you feel about this!

NO Mosque at Ground Zero - Jay Sekulow

Have we FORGOTTEN?

Jay Sekulow is the Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) which is a law firm and educational organization that focuses on constitutional law in the United States.  He had an interesting discussing on his radio show yesterday entitled, NO Mosque at Ground Zero.  He addressed many concerns about the $100 million dollar Mosque that is being funding by "NO ONE knows who" and that is scheduled to be erected in New York City (just 600 feet from where Tower One used to stand) and to be dedicated on 9-11's ten year anniversary, next year.  What is also making this matter more troubling, aside from the fact that Muslims throughout history have erected Mosques over the sites of their victories, is that there is a very illusive money trail and some of the names being mentioned have known ties to be anti-American and are associated with radial Muslim groups.  It is also common knowledge that traditionally the Mosque was not only a place of prayer meetings but was also a military training ground since the foundations of Islam.

Tim Brown (former member of the New York Fire Department and who personally was on the location of the buildings during the 9-11 attacks) has been speaking out against this Mosque.  He has been active in this matter from the beginning as has former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Landmark status has been given to many properties in New York City and some have been pending for over 20 years on what to do with those properties and suddenly a Muslim group was able to purchase this landmark property and have been granted special permissions and status to build on this significant piece of land.  People are beginning to catch wind of all the details and our outraged.  You can call 877-989-2255 to make your voice heard on this matter today to speak out on this potential victory tower in the form of a mosque in New York City.

A side comment that is noteworthy is that President Obama has issued a statement earlier this year saying that people are no longer able to use the word "Islam" or "Jihad" in public government affairs and yet newly appointed Afghanistan commander General Petraeus has issued a doctrine in which he refers to "Islamic insurgents", Islamic extremists" and Islamic subversives".  Seems we have a conflict here and we will have to watch and see in the General has to re-write his doctrine on counterinsurgency.

Once again, please take a minute to call 877-989-2255 and let your voice be heard along with all those in New York City.

FCC Moves to Regulate

On June 17, 2010, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) voted 3-2 to take the first steps toward regulating the Internet.  This is troubling as this decision from the FCC comes only 2 months after a federal court ruled rather strongly that the agency has no authority to take this next step.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in April that the Communications Act only allows the FCC to regulate "telecommunications".  The agency early has concluded that broadband Internet is NOT "telecommunications" so the court decided that the FCC could not regulate broadband.

You would think this would be the end of the discussion but FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski purposes to get around this problem by re-defining broadband as a "telecommunication service".  Years have been put into the classification of broadband and now the Commission and at least 3 of the 5 members want to regulate broadband.

This is not just a simply issue of classifications, if the changes go through, it would allow the Commission to impose "net-neutrality" rules, which would put limits on how owners of broadband networks can manage their business on the net.  This could be terrible as according to one study done, the cost of neutrality rules could cost the economy up to 500,000 jobs and $80 billion dollars.

So now the FCC has launched a formal inquire into re-classifying broadband and it is not clear when this will be finalized.  As you can image, opposition to this change has been great not just from the industry businesses to be regulated but by congress, including both sides of the isle.  Approximately 290 members have expressed concerns about this proposal not just from an economic standpoint but from their vantage point as lawmakers. If this decision were to be finalized, it is certain to face fierce battles in the courts.  Of course, this all could take years and until then, we all live with this looming.

Michelle Bachmann Says....

Michelle Bachman, a Congresswoman from Minnesota recently was on the Ben Shapiro Show and was asked if President Obama was better or worse than Jimmy Carter as a President.  This is a quickie video but is quite fascinating.  Michelle Bachman is candid and to the point.

Red Skelton - 1969

Red Skelton was a comedian who started as a circus clown, moved to vaudeville, Broadway, films, radio, TV, nightclubs and casinos all while he was pursuing a career as a painter.  I remember seeing him on random television shows like the Tonight Show and similar type of formats periodically as a child.  He had a television show in the 1960's and it was cancelled in 1970.

He was known for comedic sketches and so, it was no suprise when he made the Pledge of Aligence his monologue as Skelton performed on his 1969 television show.  He comments on the meaning of each phrase of the Pledge as was done on the Amos and Andy Show in the 1930's as Amos tells his daughter Arbadella about the Lord's Prayer.  Red also did a recitation of the Candian National Anthem.

At the end of his Pledge of Alligence rendition, he added: "Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too?"   Some say this was Red's way of targeting the political winds that were arguing that the inclusion of "under God" in a pledge recited daily in U.S. public schools violated the First Amendment separation of church and state.  Because of  Skelton's rendition he suddenly regained popularity among religious conservatives who wanted the phrase to remain.

Here are the words to the Pledge of Alligence as Red's teacher, Mr. Laswell recited it to the class:
I, me, an individual, a committee of one.
Pledge, dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self pity.
Allegiance, my love and my devotion.
To the flag, our standard, Old Glory, a symbol of freedom. Wherever she waves, there's respect because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts freedom is everybody's job!
United, that means that we have all come together.
States, individual communities that have united into 48 great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose; all divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that's love for country.
And to the republic, a state in which sovereign power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.
For which it stands, one nation, one nation, meaning "so blessed by God" Indivisible incapable of being divided.
With liberty, which is freedom -- the right of power to live one's own life without threats, fear or some sort of retaliation.
And Justice, the principle or quality of dealing fairly with others.
For all, which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine.
***~~**~~***
Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country and two words have been added to the pledge of Allegiance...
UNDER GOD, Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too?

Andrew Klavan on the Culture

Andrew Klavan could be one of the best authors of psychological suspense writing today.  Here you will see his opinions regarding the strategy used to silence the criticism and ideas of the conservative thinkers.  "Whatever you do, don't shut up." - Andrew Klavan

Dennis Prager on the Environment

This is an incredible clip from a caller who is all whipped up and verbally attacks Dennis Prager, a conservative radio talk show host on the topic of the environment.  He very calmly listens to this caller who is quite personal in his confrontation of Dennis but Dennis has a fabulous response to this caller.  A great deal can be learned from this conversation.  There are many scare tactics used still to cause people to get on board with their movement or cause.  Great incite given in his reply.
