Ronald Reagan

So as I was pursing the Internet (which I seem to do more and more these days looking for truth on regarding our government and country) I happened upon this JEWEL of a site.

Here they had posted some of the famous speeches of President Ronald Reagan.  Incredible treasures that I just had to share.  He was an amazing President who I voted for then and still like today.

He had a praying mother, Nelle Wilson Reagan and came from simple beginnings.  I have often noted that he rose to his destiny when all of his childhood family had moved on.  Think about it, he was 70 years old when he was elected for his first term.  My father died at 68 and my mother at 70 and here was Reagan stepping into his greatest years.  I believe his destiny was the result of his praying mother.  Reagan stated of his mother, "I know that she planted that faith very deeply in me."

When asked about Nelle's influence with the church community one person responded that, "Many of us believed Nelle Reagan had the gift to heal," and fellow churchgoer Mildred Neer recalled Reagan's strong passion for prayer:

“ When our little daughter was about four years old, she developed what seemed to be tonsillitis... My husband said to me, 'Why don't you go to church? It will do you good.' [The pastor] spoke on how we as Christians should accept death... When the service was dismissed, everybody had left except for Mrs. Reagan who was on the platform gathering up the music that the choir members had left. I thought, 'If only I could talk to Mrs. Reagan,' and went up to her. She said, 'Let's get down on our knees and pray about it.' She made a wonderful prayer, [and] Mrs. Reagan spent the whole afternoon in prayer with us... She left about six o'clock. Moments later, the abscess [on our daughter's neck] burst. God had heard Nelle Reagan's prayer and answered it."
What a legacy SHE was and so it is not surprising that her son would be allowed such greatness.

Flag Day!

It's Flag Day!

So why is our flag Red, White, and Blue? The original members of the Continental Congress believed that, red stood for hardiness and courage, white for purity and innocence, and blue for vigilance and justice.  The red and white and starry blue is freedom's shield and hope said John Philip Sousa.

Michelle Bachmann Says....

Michelle Bachman, a Congresswoman from Minnesota recently was on the Ben Shapiro Show and was asked if President Obama was better or worse than Jimmy Carter as a President.  This is a quickie video but is quite fascinating.  Michelle Bachman is candid and to the point.

Mosques at Ground Zero

This is an interesting link about the Mosques being built near Ground Zero.  There is definitely an agenda here and we, as Americans have a tendency to view all people through our eyes.  We think and project on to others our way of thinking, our standards, our convictions.  This simple thinking is dangerous when a person has an enemy.  When there is someone out there that hates you and wants ill for you, you need to understand they way THEY think about you.  This will help you understand what they are capable of doing.  We just don't seem to get that here.  We have an enemy and they want to destroy us.  Think about your history, when Muslims conquered through out history, they set up a Mosque.  Wake up America...before it is too late.

I had to add this other link as well, Molotov Mitchell - Barry! Put the crazy on hold!

"Your Electric Bills Will Skyrocket." - Obama

I found a link on facebook about the Cap and Trade bill but wanted to share the link on You-Tube regarding the comments made my President Obama.  The documentation below is from the facebook page as it was so full of information that it was just easier to share the info than to re-write the entire column.

On June 10, 2010 (that's tomorrow folks) the Senate will vote on Senate Joint Resolution 26, to prevent the EPA from implementing its 'tailoring' rule. That rule would effectively allow the EPA to impose a cap and trade regime through regulation - one which Congress has been unwilling to implement via legislation. Under this cap-and-trade style regime, millions of American businesses - and other entities - would be required to obtain licenses for carbon emissions. This would dramatically increase energy prices, and force higher costs for everything Americans buy.

Climate change alarmists have been unable to convince a majority in Congress to support cap and trade. Don't let them use new regulations to do an end-run around Capitol Hill. Don't let them chill business investment, destroy jobs, and increase the cost of living for all Americans.

Here is what you can do today, tomorrow, Wednesday and all the way up to the vote on Thursday:

1. Go to http://www.libertycentral.org/ and use this new and easy technology that will actually dial the phone number to your specific Senator. It is easy and all you have to do is call. Talking points are also available for you.
2. If you are not able to call, you can use this new and easy technology to write a short email. You can use the sample email or you can write your own. Whatever you do - do not be confused with this point.

We say No to Cap and Trade

AND

YES to SJRes 26 when it comes before the Senate for a vote this Thursday.

Elections Today are Setting the Mood for November

There are 11 states with elections today and the anti-incumbent mood in the US is on the move.  I think the mood is more of an anti-incumbent vote ONLY if that incumbent has been on board with the Obama agenda.  When will America wake up to the simple bible truth that says, "For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."  Mat 6:32 - 33.

See, if we seek GOD's way, His agenda, His Word...doing things the way He has directed in the Word, then all the things, the economy, the issues that relate to our nation will just follow along like ducks-in-a-row.  It is simple; please the Lord with your vote for Godly people who live Godly lives and vote for Godly things and all the other things will just fix themselves.  Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan.

So today Senator Blancehe Lincoln, a moderate Democrat is fighting for her political life in Arkansas.  This is for her third term.  Another "big fish" in the hot soup is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat.  I am praying people vote them out along with all the other moderates and liberals who are giving our nation over to socialistic thinking's.

Dennis Prager Q&A

Dennis Prager is a conservative radio talk show host and he has an interesting take on our current government and the direction of our country as he was speaking at the University of Denver for a Question and Answer event along with Sarah Palin on May 24, 2010.

He addresses Americanism.  He goes back 100 years to John Dewey and the importation of European professors to our Universities.  He touches on how most Americans cannot articulate what their deeply conservative values are.  This lack of our clarity is the threat to our nation and our way of life, according to Dennis.  When we understand this, "American Trinity of In God We Trust, Liberty, E pluribus unum that is uniquely American and that there is a moral dimension to a smaller government," we will understand the difference between us and every other nation in the world.  It is not an economic question it is a moral question.  We in American give more charity per-capita than Europeans.  He addresses this as a selfish root that is in Europe as the people want time off where in American, the Christian influence has been about if a man doesn't work, he doesn't eat.  Very informative video.  I hope you take the time to listen.

Case Closed - Airport Security

I received this email and really liked the concept.  Now, we just need a few great minds to come up with the "box".  Read on:

This is so simple that it's brilliant.  Here's a solution to all the controversy over full-body scanners at the airports. Have a booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you.

It would be a win-win for everyone, and there would be none of this crap about racial profiling, and this method would eliminate a long and expensive trial. Justice would be quick and swift. Case Closed!

I can see it now: you're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system, "Attention standby passengers, we now have a seat available on flight number 397 to Atlanta".

Star-Spangled Banner in Triumph Shall Wave!

Herman Cain was leading a Question and Answer session at the Douglas County Tea Party meeting on June 4, 2010 when a young woman asked him about the attack by the Left on our Judeo-Christian heritage in America.  In the clip, you will see Herman answering her question then he goes on to the last question of the night.  A man stands up and addressed some discussion that was the topic earlier in their meeting.  The crowd could not have expected what would happen and then they all stood to their feet to hear the second verse of the Star Spangled Banner.  Bet many didn't know there was a second verse and I bet even fewer would know it.  In my opinion I think we all should start singing it as part of our nation's song.

Here are the words from the fourth verse of the Star Spangled Banner which you will hear being sung:
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Here is the whole poem - the Star Spangled Banner:

Barack Obama and $10 Million in Abortion Funding

Here is a DISTURBING link that will help illuminate the truth.  Apparently, Barack Obama's administration has come under fire for potentially illegally spending as much as $10 million promoting the new pro-abortion constitution in Kenya.

Rather than re-writing the entire article, I have just given the link.  It is again troubling to see all the "deals" and under-the-table, anti-family practices of this administration.  Very troubling.

the "Word" according to Nancy Pelosi

WOW - this was really hard to listen to. Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi was commenting on a question about what was her favorite word. She said, her favorite word, was "the Word". "The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us", she said. He favorite word is "the Word", this is coming from a woman who said that she must pursue public policies "in keeping with the values" of Jesus Christ. WHAT?

Pelosi, who is a Catholic strongly favors legalized abortion and voted against the ban on partial-birth abortion that was enacted into law in 2003. Now according to my devoted Catholic friends, just because someone says they are a Catholic doesn't make them a Catholic. They (Catholics) have to hold to the teachings of the Catholic Church, Vatican II and follow the Pope's direction. Again, according to my devoted Catholic friends, to be pro-abortion is not in accordance with the policies of the Catholic church.

This clip is from the Speaker speaking at a May 6 Catholic Community Conference on Capitol Hill, Nancy said:

50 Million - One Every 24 Seconds

It is the number 1 killer in the US; above heart disease, cancer, and every other disease. 50 Million have died from this since 1973 until 2009 in the United States; that is one every 24 seconds or 3,600 everyday.  What is this disease that I speak of?  Abortion...not a disease at all, more like a fear that leads us to do evil things.
  • Of all these that have been performed, less than 1% are due to rape and incest combined.
  • The staggering number is that 7 out 10 women claim to be Christian at the time of the abortion.  This is one of the reasons I say this is motivated by fear.
  • Half of the women are under the age of 25 and under 20% of the women are teenagers.  Of these that are teenagers, 40% are minors and they didn't tell their parents about the abortion.
  • Another difficult figure it that 31% of all abortions are paid for with OUR tax dollars!
  • One-third of planned parenthood's funding in 2008 came from government grants which is funded by tax dollars.  The ratio of abortions to adoptions was 62 to 1.  That is 305,310 abortions to 4,912 adoption referrals.
  • Another fact is that 9 out of 10 insurance company's cover part of the costs, again, using our money to help fund these.
  • Of the abortions performed, 87% are surgical.
  • Abortions are devastating the African-American community the most, as every 2 in 5 pregnancies end in abortion.
  • As a whole in America, one in every five pregnancies end in abortion.
There is a movement beginning to stop abortions by 2020.  Go to Abortion Blackout and join the movement by wearing BLACK on Fridays to mourn the death of all these innocent children.  Ending Abortion @ GodTube.

A CLOSING COMMENT:  I wanted to add my personal opinion to these statistics.  I personally have ministered to several women who have had an abortion and  most of them fell into the statistics listed above.  The one thing I do know that is seldom sited in the statistics is the aftermath of the abortion on the life of the mother.  The women who I have prayed with, cried with and mourned with over the loss of their baby is seldom talked about.  Not only does abortion stop a beating heart, in breaks a living heart as well.  The pregnancy may be ended but the memory never dies.  Fear is the reason most of the women I know for having an abortion.  Fear that someone would think they were bad, sinful, evil.  The sad thing is that all of us have done bad, have acted sinful and are capable of evil.  We are no different.  May we stop the cover-up of our sins and begin to walk in the truth that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.  As we confess our sins, one to another, THEN we are healed.  James 5:16 says, "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

the Black Regiment by David Barton

Once again David Barton delivers incredible information this time via the Glenn Beck show on the Black Regiment. If you are not familiar with David Barton, you need to get familiar. He has incredible documents proving the founding father's Christian roots and this video is simple FABULOUS if you ever have gotten into a discussion with people about the role of the church in our government history.

David addresses the difference between individual rights and collective rights or human rights. Inalienable rights are what we are given by our founders. These rights are not collective or human rights. God give each person individual rights. There is no collective salvation. We all must answer to God one-on-one. Human rights and/or collective rights are different than individual rights.

Our founding fathers had come from Europe which at the time was very much as a society into this collective rights thinking. The founders left Europe and that way of thinking and said "No" to that as they established America. They said for America it would be individuals rights that would be protected, in other words, each person would give an account to the society as each man does to God. There is not collective rights or human rights in regard to man and his salvation. Each man answers to God for his actions. This is why the founders set up America to this model of inalieable rights. In this country, our founders have always made provision for people to object for conscience as an individual. A person can reject for religion or conscience because our founders set it up to be about the individuals. It is all based on each individual. Each person answers for themselves. Listen to the video and you will be amazed.

Arizona Law on Immigration

Well Governor Brewer of Arizona has been taking the heat on her newly passed law (SB 1070) to crack down on the illegal immigration that has become deadly for many in her state.  She responds to the critics.

The Mexican President's Speech and President Obama's comment haven't been properly informed about this bill.  The Federal Government has had this as law for DECADES and if it were illegal and racial profiling than the United States has been in violation of the law for years.  People need to read the bill.  We are a nation of laws and 70% of the American public agrees with this move why there is so much controversy.  The federal government is NOT doing their job so Arizona had to fix their problem.

The LA city councel called for a boycott of Arizona. Well, a commissioner, Gary Pierce, on the five-member Arizona Corporation Commision had a response to this threat.  In a letter Pierce wrote to the Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa yesterday, Pierce reminded the Mayor that up to a quater of LA's electricity comes from Arizona Power Plants.  Pierce stated that if an economic boycott is truly what LA desires, he would be "happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives any power from Arizona-based generation."

The LA Mayor is dismissing the warning from Arizona.  Seems LA is pretty confident that they are ok to call a boycott and have not fallout to their own actions.

Gulf Oil Spill

I have heard so much criticism of the Bush administration regarding their efforts after hurricane Katrina.  Yet here we are weeks after the spill in gulf and more and more information is leaking as fast as the oil.  BP (British Global Energy Company...the largest corporation in the UK, the third largest global energy company and the fourth largest company in the world) has given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years in campaign contributions to many members of congress and their biggest recipient of cash was, you guessed it, Obama.  This would explain how the Obama administration has continually stated that "they have been on the situation" (the oil spill) from the beginning yet there is still no viable solution to the problem.

With many crying that we now need to shut down oil production in the gulf and everywhere we drill offshore because of the danger to the environment, I found the following link (Solution) to be totally fascinating and a great economical, green solution to the whole oil spill dilemma.  Don't fall prey to the wolves crying fowl and their continual fear that they try to sow into the hearts of Americans.  These two southern boys have got their thinking caps on and have a GREAT idea.  Now, if only those who make the decisions would be informed of this plan and begin the process of the clean-up.

The Federalists - Quotes & Notes from the Founders

Since the first organized independent TEA Party events that began on April 15, 2009, there have been many smaller groups that have spawned and formed.  Some of these groups are a bit out there for me yet others have a wealth of information that I am so enjoying as I rediscover my American History.

For all of you who shared in my painful high school experience of History at Roosevelt High, I am sorry we missed so much information under the hands of such old and lifeless teachers.  Our school did us a disservice, yet, we were not alone.  There was a whole society making decisions to departmentalize the teaching of American history rather than teaching it from a biographical view.  We learned the dates, the events, the time lines but we never got a grasp on who these great leaders were and why they were willing to give up everything, their reputations, their status, their livelihood, their wealth, even their lives in the pursuit of happiness not only for them but for ALL of us.  Men like these are few and far between.  I pray we see the selflessness of these heroes again, but we as a society are less God centered and more self-centered and heroes come from selfless people, not selfish ones.

One of the off-shoots of information I have found has come from a facebook group called, the Federalists Papers.  This group is studying and discussing the Federalist Papers, what Thomas Jefferson called the best commentary ever written about the principles of government.  The writer has taken a person from history and focuses on a quote or writing of theirs to share with others in open discussion.  This facebook page just recently starting posting but I will be adding to this blog page as the facebook page adds new comments.  I also will add little bits of information that I want you all to know as well so I will keep updating this blog entry.  I hope you enjoy it and will learn a thing or two about our founders.  If you are from my generation, I think you will be surprised by how much was left out of our history books.

Obama's Birth Certificate Controversy Won't Go Away

It seems interesting to me that here we are two years plus after the election of this president and questions about his eligibility to hold the highest office in the land still are swirling.

Here was an article I came across regarding a new Hawaiian Law (Obama Birth Doc) and how they are NOT going to answer anymore questions on the topic.  Hmmm?

Franklin Graham, "Giving Islam a Pass"

I read an article (Newsmax - Franklin Graham) today with a statement from Evangelical leader Rev. Franklin Graham regarding the Obama's administration's role in revoking his invitation to speak at the Pentagon's National Day of Prayer event.  "(President Obama is) giving Islam a pass", was the quote from Graham.  The comment that Graham made to disqualify him from speaking at the Prayer Event was made shortly after 9-11 when Graham said about the Islamic teaching that it is "a very evil and wicked religion".  Everyone was speaking against these terrorists (after 9-11) and now Graham is being singled out as a person who is controversial.

Obama Reveals What "CHANGE" Means

This was quite a disturbing link, Obama's Change.  Here he is, in his own words, spelling out exactly what he is doing.  Why are people just allowing this man to continue in his plan to destroy our nation as we know it?  "The main plank in the National Socialist program is to abolish the literalistic concept of the individual" - Adolf Hitler.  This seems to be exactly what Obama is doing...destroying the people who built this great country.  Michelle Obama wants us to give up a piece of the "pie" yet they live high above most Americans.

My favorite part of the video is Ronald Reagan's closing statements as he addresses an audience.  He spoke with such certainty and clarity.  "Let us move toward a world in which, all people, where at last, free to determine their own destiny." - Ronald Reagan.
