Free Speech! Not So Much Anymore

Last night I heard that Sheryl Crow has written a song entitled Say What You Want. In the song Sheryl slams Sarah Palin and then she went on a rant about her political feelings against the political right and how she embraces and endorses the far-left.   I did some checking and recently, when asked about the Tea Party movement in an interview with Katie Couric, Sheryl said, they (Tea Party people) "haven't educated themselves...they're just p*ssed off.  They're not sure what they're angry at," Crow continued.  "[T]hey don't understand what's happening on Wall Street."

She went on to say that "[K]nowledge is power, and anything less than that when it comes to anger can be dangerous".  Maybe Sheryl should take her own advice and educate herself before she opens her mouth about education.  According to a New York Times poll Tea Party members are "more educated than the general public".  She is the one stirring things up as she went on to say how they (TEA Partiers) are "angery".

It's a free country and people have a right under the First Amendment of the US Constitution to express their opinion.  Right?  Well, maybe not so much anymore!

This morning I receive some information about another song written by a guy named Bryan Glover, a "former" middle school assistant football coach from Williamson County in Franklin, Tennessee.  He too wrote a song (along with a parent from the team) and shared it will his email contacts list.  Seems a few people in that list were parents of some of his football team members.  The few parents went to the principal and demanded his firing.  Well, he is now fired for expressing his free speech rights.

I too have received emails from people who have acquired my address through "events" and these emails were promoting their business or their fundraiser.  I guess it would qualify as SPAM as I didn't give my email for that purpose but a simply notification of the offender is adequate.  At most, the coach just wasn't thinking it through but that is not grounds for dismissal.  Below is the link to the song and the words.  I think this should be the TEA party's new theme song!  I like it!

Words and Music by Kyle Hill and Bryan Glover

He was a little man, just turned three
Took the present from his daddy’s hand
A genuine toy hammer
He started beatin’ to beat the band
He hit the floors and the wall, broke a lamp in the hall,
Started swinging at the puppy’s tail
When you’re holding a hammer
Everything looks like a nail

He was the president, number 44
He says “Trust me, I’m here to help you
I have got some big big plans
You’re gonna love what I’m gonna do”
There’s no problem too big or small
He thinks he’s got an answer that just can’t fail
When you’re holding a hammer
Everything looks like a nail

He thinks big thoughts and he dreams big dreams
But it’s another man’s sweat that pays for those schemes
He don’t care how the little people feel
‘Cause savin’ the world is a big freakin’ deal
So he does his business behind closed doors
And pretends that the world is just beggin’ for more
When the stuff hits the fan he says “Don’t look at me
If you got trouble, blame 43”

Now Congress is saving Wall Street
While they’re watching Main Street fall
They got health care all figured out
But it don’t seem to care much at all
As soon as they save this planet
They’ll put the fire out in hell
When you’re holding a hammer
Everything looks like a nail

They think big thoughts and they dream big dreams
But it’s another man’s sweat that pays for those schemes
They don’t care how the little people feel
‘Cause savin’ the world is a big freakin’ deal
They do their business behind closed doors
And pretend that the world is just beggin’ for more
When the stuff hits the fan they say “Don’t look at me
If you got trouble, blame 43”

There’ll be a party come this November
Where we’re gonna set things straight
All good people gonna gather ‘round
Gonna show what made this country great
We’ll run off the schemers and back-room dealers
So the Red, White and Blue will prevail
When we’re holding the hammer
When we’re holding the hammer
When we’re holding the hammer
Every one of them looks like a nail

Bush Tax Cuts Should Be Extended

If people are not awake yet, they need to be.  This current administration is heading down cascading track and this train is picking up speed.  The Obama administration had all these great "ideas" but they were just that, ideas.  The arrogance of young leadership runs things that way.  They "think" rather than study or get input from proven and trusted sources.

For me the mid-term elections can't get here fast enough and I pray that Americans vote these allies of this administration out-of-office.

An official of the ex-Bank of England warns that if the Bush Tax Cuts are not extended, America could see another depression.  He states that the weak economy begs for tax cuts.  The working class need all the help they can get right now.  They need jobs, not government take-overs.  Banks aren't lending and firms need incentives to hire and things seems to grinding to a halt.

Setting Goals

Jim Rohn [(September 17, 1930 - December 5, 2009) was an American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry.] said, "To have more than you've got, you've got to become more than you are."  He learned this at 25 years of age when he met Earl Shoaff [(March 21, 1916 - September 6, 1965) was an American entrepreneur who was widely known as "The Millionaire Maker."] who became his mentor.

Too many people in our culture today don't know the value of hard work and why it is necessary for all Americans to work hard.  The biggest thing people need to learn is how to make and set goals.  Jim has mentored over 10's of millions of men in this skill.  This seems to be a dying art today, working toward success.  There are two videos below that I would like to recommend to you to watch:
Jim Rohn: Setting Goals Part 1
Jim Rohn: Setting Goals Part 2
Jim says that one of the first books he read as an adult was, How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler [((December 28, 1902 – June 28, 2001).  Adler was an American philosopher, educator, and popular author].  In this book, Mortimer outlines a "must read" or Ultimate Goals of Reading list (see link above for list).  One goal every person should have according to both of these highly successful men  is to make your own list of books YOU want to read in your lifetime.  Include in the list the classics and also add some that are of interest to you.  Jim says that if you read just two books a week in 10 years you will have read a 1,000 books.  According to Jim you can't read that many books and not be changed.  It has to change you.  I encourage you to pick your list of books to begin reading.  Carefully choose this list and then do it and watch how success will follow you!  Jim goes on to outline some of his success.  Below is the outline.

I. Attract People: Another philosophy that Jim picked up from Shoaff was that, "Success is something that you attract by becoming an attractive person.  It is not something that you pursue.  What you pursue, more often than not alludes you but become an attractive person."  Jim's whole life became a series of things that he learned or began to think about. Another quote, "Work harder ON yourself than you do FOR yourself."

II. Find and Seek: He then moved into how to find good people.  He said the Bible encouraged him with this concept, "if you search you will find. Finding is reserved for the searching."  He made this another philosophy that he lived by.  Jim saw that the Bible talked about knocking on doors.  So he said, go knocking on doors!  He picked up this principal and started in sales which helped him develope more skills.

III. Agreement: The next skill he learned was how to get people to work together.  This too he found from the Bible.  If two or three agree on a common purpose, nothing is impossible.  He said if you can get someone to join you, you will find success.  "Let's do it!" is a very powerful phrase.  He learned the value of the "Let's...let US!"

IV. Recognize and Reward: He learned the power of recognition and reward.  Reward small steps of accomplishment in those who work for you.  Be so busy rewarding and acknowledging and giving other people recognition that you really don't need it for yourself.  He heard Zig Zigler quote it this way, "if you help enough people get what they want, you can have everything you want."  Jim heard Zig say this over 50 years ago.

V. Communication: Then he learned communication:
1) Training: First - Training...showing someone here is how the job works.
2) Teaching: Second - Teaching...this is how life works (set goals).   One day, early in his walk, Jim's mentor said to him, let me see your list of goals.  Jim was a bit surprised as he didn't have a list of goals.  Mr. Shoaff said, really?  I can tell you right now that if you don't have list of goals, I can guess your bank account balance within a few hundred dollars and he did.  Jim said you mean my bank balance would change if I had a list of goals?  Earl said, drastically.  That changed everything for Jim and he began to set goals!  Jim began to make goals and create lists:
  • Decide what you want.  Write it all down.
  • Who do you want to meet?  Make that list!
  • The books you want to read.  Make that list!
  • The places you want to go.  Make that list!
  • The experiences you want to have.  Make that list!
  • Education for your family.  Make that list!
Jim stated that he started with the lists having every little thing on it so he could have lots to check off .  Checking off was what was fun.  Then his mentor said, if you check off something significant, celebrate.  This motivated him to make longer and bigger lists and dreams.

3) Inspire: Finally the third thing on communications list was to inspire other people.

Jim shares some of the first things that he had to correct in his thinking was:
1) Learning:  He had to learn to have an appetite for learning.  He would just get by before this.  Earl told him to pursue learning.  Become a searcher for learning and understanding.
2) Developing His Library:  Mr. Shoaff said that what you think about is like a sail on a sailboat.  You don't arrive on a boat in a storm by cursing your sail, you adjust it.  This, Mr. Shoaff told him, was what his thinking was like to his life.  He had to change the way he thought to change his course.  This too is Biblical as the word says, as a man thinks, he is!
3) Financial Plan: Mr. Shoaff wanted to know Jim's financial plan and Jim had none.  He had to develop a plan because he was financially spent when they met.  At 25 Jim had nothing and by 31 was a millionaire.
4) Attract Other People:   He made dramatic changes to his personality to draw people to him.  Jim stopped making excuses.  Like Jim thought he wasn't paid enough and he blamed the company.  Jim said showing Mr. Shoaff his paycheck, "This is all that they pay."  Mr. Shoaff said, "No, that is not all they pay.  That is all they pay you!  Aren't there other's working for the company who are making more?"  See, Jim had to change his thinking and stop blaming!  "If you will change, Mr. Rohn, everything will change for you." - Earl Shoaff.  You have to change YOU!

Jim would say that "it" cost too much or that taxes were too high or whatever and Mr. Shoaff would say, no it's not "it", it's not circumstances, it's you.  Change you!

Daily Habits that Jim Began to Change:
1) Time Management:  Jim would say, "Don't start the day until you have finished it."  In other words, know what you are going to do tomorrow before you go to bed today.  He likened it unto when do you start building the house?  When the house is finished!  In other words, you have to have a plan finished before you start to lay the bricks.

 Be inspired!  I was!

A great book to have: The Treasure of Quotes by Jim Rohn.  Here are some more quotes by Jim Rohn:
  • A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.
  • A novel is never anything, but a philosophy put into images.
  • Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion.
  • Asking is the beginning of receiving. Make sure you don't go to the ocean with a teaspoon. At least take a bucket so the kids won't laugh at you.
  • Better understated than overstated. Let people be surprised that it was more than you promised and easier than you said.
  • Character isn't something you were born with and can't change, like your fingerprints. It's something you weren't born with and must take responsibility for forming.
  • Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
  • Don't bring your need to the marketplace, bring your skill. If you don't feel well, tell your doctor, but not the marketplace. If you need money, go to the bank, but not the marketplace.
  • Don't just read the easy stuff. You may be entertained by it, but you will never grow from it.
  • Don't start the day until you have it finished.
  • Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better.
  • Effective communication is 20% what you know and 80% how you feel about what you know.
  • Either you run the day or the day runs you.
  • Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don't fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.
  • Failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.
  • For every disciplined effort there is a multiple reward.
  • Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.
  • Give whatever you are doing and whoever you are with the gift of your attention.
  • Giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process.
  • Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.

Affirmative Action in an American Election!

Bet you never thought that Affirmative Action would effect how elections are run, did ya? In the village of Port Chester in New York a federal judge ordered that each Latino should receive SIX votes per person in the upcoming elections.  That's right - 6 votes per Latino to give them a chance to elect a minority in this roughly 46% Latino but many of them are not American citizens, are not registered to vote or are too young.

So on June 15th, 2010, they elected their first Latino trustee.  This was done under Cumulative Voting in which the Latinos would have greater minority representation, even minorities who were not registered to vote gained greater representation.  With six open seats on the village board and 13 candidates each voter was given 6 votes. Voters were allowed to cast all of their six votes for one person.

Judge Stephen Robinson said this was alright after the Department of Justice sued the Village of Port Chester in 2006 claiming the Latino population was not fairly represented under the Voting Rights Act.

Equal Protection Clause of the US Constitution is now being brought up in the discussion as I am sure this is going to be appealed.  One person, one vote.  So much for the Constitution.

Senate Bill S510 - Food Safety Mod. Act

S.510: FDA Food Safety Modernization Act.  Have you heard of it?  Well if you haven't you need to!  It is time to clean house in this congress before they make more mayhem and mischief with our economy to say the least and outlaw you to own seeds or store food.  Yes, you heard me.  That is the goal of this bill!

What is S.510?  This is a bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act with respect to the safety of the food supply.  On March 3, 2009, the bill was introduced and Referred to Committee.  On November 18, 2009, it was reported by Committee.  The next step in the process is the Senate Vote, then the House Vote and finally to be signed by the President.

The Senate appears poised to act on its version of the food safety bill, which will modernize food inspections by the Food and Drug Administration, and give it mandatory recall authority. The six Senators who negotiated the final package announced on Aug. 12 that final language and the Congressional Budget Office analysis were completed.

Sen. Tom Harkin, chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee unveiled the “manager’s amendment,” a bipartisan agreement on final language that has been worked out by Sens. Mike Enzil, the committee’s top Republican; Dick Durbin (D., Ill.), who was the original author of the bill, Judd Gregg (R., N. H.), Chris Dodd (D., Conn.) and Richard Burr (R., N.C.).The original version of the bill was passed by the HELP committee on a unanimous vote last November. Senators who negotiated the final package pledged to pressure both the Democratic and Republican Senate leaders for rapid floor action.

The House version of the FDA food safety reform bill is passed and awaiting Senate action.   Why you should care?  If passed:
  1. All US food and all US farms will be under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense.
  2. End US sovereignty over it's own food supply by insisting on compliance with the World Trade Organization (WTO).
  3. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US.
  4. It begins the final destruction of the US economy.
"If people let the government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." - Thomas Jefferson

Food Stamps up 19% Since a Year Ago!

First I want to state that the reason for my posting of all these "statistics" is not to ruin your day, your week, your year or even your life.  I share these statistics to MOTIVATE you to get involved in the process and VOTE!  This country is set-up so that "We the people" can run our country and quite honestly, over the past 25-30 years very few have been taking responsibility of their duty!

Proverbs 29:2 warns of this: When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan. NASB.  The righteous have not been increasing and taking up our public duty to elected Godly people.

So with that, I encourage you to first, REGISTER to vote.  Then find those who are supporting Biblical issues.  Why Biblical?  Well, again, let's look at the Word.
Luke 12:28-32 (NASB) "But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith!  "And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.  Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom."

When we vote, we need to make the "things" that God cares about a priority and then He (God) will make sure our needs are met.  For TOO many years, people are voting for the candidate that promises to fix the people's lives.  The one who will stimulate the economy, give jobs, lower taxes.  This last time the candidate promised "Hope and Change" and "Yes We Can".  These are NOT Biblical issues!  We can also look at Matthew 6:24-34 (NASB):
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
I want to remind you that YOU have a part to play in this government.  You can VOTE for change while we still have the right TO vote!  With that, let's look at why we have such a need for change.

Remember Michelle Obama quoting in April of 2008 that Americans needed to be willing to share.  Really? The quote went like this, "The truth is most Americans don't want much. Folks don't want the whole pie. Most Americans feel blessed to thrive a little bit....but that's out of reach for them. The truth is, in order to get things like universal heath care and a revamped education system then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more. - April 8, 2008 and the Charlotte Observer.

We all know that Michelle is great at tightening her belts but they are on her designer dresses and I don't think that those "belts" were the belts she had in mind.  It is a great concept but this quote is coming from a lady who travels on taxpayers money to Paris and beyond to shop with her daughters and have lunch for the day.  We need to tighten our belts but she and her husband live as though the party will last forever and there is no limit to the money.  Maybe this is why they just keep printing more!

I guess we are back to definitions again.  Remember former President Bill Clinton?   He had his own personal meaning of the word "is".  Funny how that word has always been the same for everyone else.  "Is" is well, is.  It is a state of being verb.  It starts and then continues.  It has action.  But the road scholar wasn't quite sure of the meaning.  Anyway, I didn't mean to get off track from my current concern but there is so much in common with how democratic politicians think.  So let's get back to the Obamas.

Remember President Obama quoted that he thinks "that what you've seen is that the pace of job loss has slowed and I think the economy is going to turn around.  But as you know, jobs are a lagging indicator.  And we've got to produce 150,000 jobs every month just to keep pace but, " he said, "we will end up seeing recovery shortly."  This was back on June 16, 2009.  Hmmm - still waiting for that recovery!  Are you ready for some change?

In January, the incoming administration predicted that without a huge stimulus package, unemployment would reach just over 8% and would be contained at under 8% with a stimulus package.  So, he got his stimulus package to pass and his predictions fell flat.  Not only did the unemployment rate reach 8% it is now closing in on 10% as of June (9.6%).

The first family seems to be unaware of the needs of the people of this nation.  This year, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program reports that 40.8 million people are now collecting food stamps.  This is up 19 from a year ago.  These are not numbers that can be attributed to the Bush years but this is from 2009-2010.  These are from the current President's administration.

The US Census Bureau released figures on new orders for manufactured goods and orders have decreased for two consecutive months by 1.2% from $5.1 billion to $404.4 billion back in June of this year.  Less orders means less production which means less jobs which leads to less spending because people don't have money.  Consumer purchasing is 70% of the American economy and the retail and service industries are fighting to survive.  This should be of a concern to all of us in this country!

This current administration and congress are spending money like there is no tomorrow and if they continue, there may be no tomorrow for America!  The $787 billion stimulus bill, the trillion dollar health care nightmare, a $4.5 billion education incentive program and let's not forget Mrs. Obama's thin down America program that cost just a mere $10 billion and you can begin to understand why this country is drowning in debt.

Remember the quote at the beginning of this page? Well, she also made a similar quote during the campaign at a speech in Canton, Ohio on October 27, 2008. She said, "The cost of this economic crisis, and the cost of the war in Iraq, means that Washington will have to tighten its belt and put off spending on things we can afford to do without."  When will the Obamas begin to do this?  When will THEY stop spending?  They need to begin at home, that is where true charity begins.  They can do this by tightening their own belts instead of pushing their agendas onto the American people and running this Republic into bankruptcy!

Had enough yet America?  In  77 days you get to vote for CHANGE on November 2, 2010!  Vote out these politicians who have gone along with all this spending.  Theses elections could cripple the hands of this President.  It really DOES matter if YOU vote!   I suggest you do before many more Americans are asking for a handout and that could be you.

Vote for HOPE and CHANGE!

Had enough already?  I know I have!  This economy is in critical condition and this current administration is killing it rather than lending it aid.  They have bailed out the big businesses, grown the government and repeatedly tried to kill small, private business.  Small business is what grows the economy.  When people can grow their business, they hire people.  Then those people have money to buy goods and services and yes, even pay taxes.  Then the local economy grows and more businesses have to add employees to keep up with the demands of the customers and the story goes on and on.

I am ready for a new wind to blow.  This was an inspiring message and I wanted to be sure that EVERYONE could listen to it.  November 2, 2010 will be such a great political year for our country if we REMEMBER to VOTE this NOVEMBER!

Go to Remember NOVEMBER.  Watch the video that loads but then CLICK on the link underneath entitled, "Watch Act 1".  "It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; You may even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can't fool all the people all the time."  This is WHY we need to REMEMBER NOVEMBER!  Another great video to view at this site is entitled, "14".  This was published when there were still 14 weeks left before the November elections.

"We must act today, to preserve tomorrow." - Ronald Reagan.

The clips are staggering.  "Yes We Can"...bankrupt our country and end the American dream.  You can CHANGE that this November 2nd.  VOTE out this run-away Democratic party!

Obama Repeating Mistakes from Great Depression

Interesting that just two years ago, people in America were spending money well beyond what they could afford, buying houses the banks knew they could not pay for and the US economy was running like a run-away train.  That was before the election of a new president and a new vision for "hope and change".  Well America, you got what you asked for in part...we definitely are experiencing change.  Not exactly the better America that we were sold would emerge after the changing of the guard.

This link that I am sharing is an interview of former speaker of the house, Newt Gingrich as he talks candidly about many of the current political hot boxes in our nation.  Today we are just 79 days away from the mid-term elections and Mr. Gingrich shares many of his insights regarding the path this current administration in on and why he is concerned for the future of America.  Then again, WE all should be rather concerned!  Whether or not you like Mr. Gingrich or his policies, it is a fact that he is an amazing communicator who can identify the root of issues and then gives helpful incite as to what to do to prevent problems from going ahead with that given plan.  Most people have great 20/20 hindsight vision but Mr. Gingrich has an incredible ability to remember so many things and put all the pieces together.  He of course is educated but that is not the only reason to praise him.  Many are educated and yet they lack common sense.  He is an incredibly articulate man with a vast understanding of many of the political problems we are currently facing.  The thing I like about Newt is that he just doesn't talk about the problems but he continually gives instruction and vision on how to turn the problem around.

He states here in this interview, that the Great Depression was caused by many of the mistakes that are currently being made today by this current administration.  He says that, "If we have large tax increases in January, this economy will sink deeper into recession.   There will be higher unemployment.  The recovery will be longer."

"This is exactly the mistake made in 1937 and 1938, and it created a second mini-depression.  I think it's very dangerous, and I think the simple battle cry ought to be no tax increase in 2011, period.  Keep current tax law exactly as it is through 2011," said Gingrich.  We are looking at a double-dip recession according to many strategist and this administration wants to increase taxes.  What are they thinking?  Well, maybe that is their goal, to cause a meltdown of this great country that we have known and love.

I remember the terrible days of the Carter administration when I was a child.  This seems to be the course of the Democrats.  They continually move toward socialism rather than letting capitalism grow the country.  I agree with Gingrich when he says there is a huge difference between "job killing Democrats and job creating Republicans. I think that at 9.5% unemployment people are pretty fed up with the job killing party."  The only jobs this current administration has been creating are government jobs and they are simply killing the privately owned, small business.

Wake up America.  Have you lost your job or do you know someone who has during this recession?  I do and I for one am ready for some "HOPE and CHANGE"!

Obama Can't Seem to Shake the Truth

I know many have thought this controversy is gone away, but it still is looming out there. I did some simply googling and found more than enough different links stating the same concerns...that Barack Obama is not an American.

Obama's Kenyan Roots.  Here is an interesting clip of an interview with Barack Obama's grandmother who lives in Kenya.  It is simply amazing to me that he has little regard for his extended families comforts with he as all the comfort money can buy.  What does this tell us about this leader we have?  Where is the honor, responsibility and duty to his own family?  Yet we expect him to do what is right for the people?  I don't see the evidence to show that he will when he doesn't even care for his own grandmother.  She lives in poverty conditions without air conditioning.

There is also Barack Obama's brother, George.  Family seems to be of little importance to this man who we call the President of the United States.  This is so troubling to me as I have family members too who seem to think that the word "family" only goes one direction; down the family tree.  I believe family is not only who you currently are including your direct children and grandchildren but family is also about where you came from.  Your history.  Your beginning.  To neglect one side of this equation is an injustice.

Barack Obama was born in Kenya according to this grandmother, Sarah.  Listen to her tell the reporter in this link.  Even as recently as June of this year a new video filled with many clips stating that Barack Obama was born in Kenya.  Michelle Obama says that her husband, Barack Obama was born in Kenya. Listen to her own words at this link.

The most troubling thing about all of this is that Obama has a history of stretching the truth.  Here is another link where Obama is stating something that is totally NOT true.  He says his father served in WWII.  Will the stories never end?

10,000 Pennies and Political Math

I have received a few clips of this guys (10000 Pennies) emails and I have just loved them.  He makes economics simple to understand and puts it into practical terms for even the simplest of children to understand.  Rather than given each link it's own post, I combined them all in one place here for you.

He takes very complicated mathematical information and breaks it down into numbers that you and I can understand.  I know you will learn from these demonstrations and I encourage you to get your kiddos to watch too.  This is their future that they are inheriting and I think they will be concerned when they watch this!

I Love Arizona

I love this t-shirt! With all the hullaballloo about Arizona and their immigration law, it was just a matter of time before someone came up with a great idea.

Here is a great way to show your support for America, Arizona and the laws of this land.  I just received this information from a friend and am passing it on to you.  To order your shirt, follow the link to Vision to America.

Wal-Mart and RFID Chips

Well my post before this one was about how Wal-mart could run a successful business and should give the government some pointers.  Well, this link is a great segue to that story because it seems Wal-mart is acting more and more like the government as they soon will be tracking their customers.

Wal-mart has announced that they are going to install on garments (underwear and jeans) with a scannable, electronic ID cards and tags starting on August 1, 2010.  This is a real-time tracking system for controlling inventory and preventing theft.  These are removable Radio Frequency ID Tags (RFID'S) that will allow their employees to track and identify which sizes are missing from the shelves and what additional items remain in the storerooms and all of this will be done with the use of handheld scanners.

Dr. Katherine Albrecht is a syndicated talk show host and privacy campaigner who can be heard on this link while being interviewed by George Noory during the show, Coast to Coast AM.  Katherine says 250 Million Spy Chips (RFID's) will be used in this campaign.  She wrote a book called Spy Chips and talked about the book on Coast to Coast back in 2006 and says now it is happening.  These are LIVE spy chips that will be on the items that you bring home from Wal-mart and can be read through your walls or even scanned at your curb through your "Hefty" trash bag.

Why is this a concern?  Because these are transmitters that will allow a reader to drive by your home on trash day and track what you bought and link it to where you live, what you bought, where you bought it and ultimately, "Big Brother" is watching.  This is called "Talking Trash" in the book Spy Chips.  Bell South which is the parent company for Singular Wireless actually patented a way to scan people's garbage at the dump without even opening the bag and link it back to the person who had bought it and sell those records to marketers.

This all ties into the enhanced Driver's Licences or Electronic Passports that many Americans already have and it gets pretty scary.  Wal-mart is going to be putting RFID readers into their stores.  Not only do these readers emit electro-magnetic radiation which European research has shown damages DNA and reproductive organs where you are going to standing in front of shelves emitting this energy.  This RFID scanner would be mounted on the shelf at Wal-mart and will not only be tracking their merchandise but it will be tracking you if you have one of these E-Passport or an enhanced driver's licenses in your pocket or purse.  What that means is they will be able to profile you.  Their market researchers have already said that they want to use this technology in their stores to track people.  To do things like identify a persons value to the store and change the prices as they approach the shelf.  This would be similar to the guy on the airplane that paid a different price for his plane ticket than you did for you.  NCR (National Cash Register Corporation a Wal-marts retail partner) is deeply involved with RFID and NCR has large plans on how to use this new technology in stores and they even have additional plans to watch you when you get home with these chips as well.

Since 2002 Katherine Albrecht has been speaking out on this subject and she is concerned that with the depressed economy people are not paying attention and need to speak out against this.  Wake Up America! Let your local Wal-mart know how you feel about this!

Wal-Mart vs. the US Government

I received this an email and wanted to share the information with all of you.  This is why Capitalism works!  Read on about: Wal-Mart vs. the US Government

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.
2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!
3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.
4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target +Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.
5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people, is the world's largest private employer, and most speak English.
6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the world.
7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger and Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only fifteen years.
8. During this same period, 31 big supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.
9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.
10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had five years ago.
11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur at Wal-Mart stores. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.) 12. 90% of all Americans live within fifteen miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to fix the economy. This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature, it is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:
a.. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.
b. Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.
c. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.
d. War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.
e. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.
f. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
g. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM ??

MAYBE WE OUGHT TO KICK YOUR EGG-HEAD BUDDY BUMS OUT OF OFFICE AND HIRE WAL-MART TO RUN THE GOVERNMENT ???  WAL-MART SEEMS TO KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS.......WHY DON'T YOU GUYS JUST ADMIT IT'S WAY BEYOND YOUR PAY GRADE, AND QUIT?

Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman USAF

Received this email regarding the death of Captain Ed Freeman of the USAF who died in August of 2008.  The email was targeting all the "news media" hype on Hollywood celebrity topics but points out that there was little if any coverage of the death of this great hero.  Read on about a true patriot!

Courage

You're a 19 year old kid. You're critically wounded and dying in the jungle somewhere in the Central Highlands of Vietnam in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley.

It's November 14, 1967. LZ (landing zone) X-ray. Your unit is outnumbered 8-1 and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 yards away, that your CO has ordered the MedEvac helicopters to stop coming in.

You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns and you know you're not getting out. Your family is half way around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then - over the machine gun noise - you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter. You look up to see a Huey coming in. But ... It doesn't seem real because no MedEvac markings are on it. Captain Ed Freeman is coming in for you. He's not MedEvac so it's not his job, but he heard the radio call and decided he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire anyway.

Even after the MedEvacs were ordered not to come. He's coming anyway. He drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety.  And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm.  He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey.

Medal of Honor Recipient, Captain Ed Freeman, United States Air Force, died at the age of 70, in Boise, Idaho . May God Bless and Rest His Soul.

Sure wish there was more media coverage of great men like this.

Phoenix Suns

I received this via email a couple days ago and did research to authenticate the claims that this REALLY was posted to Governor Jan Brewer's facebook page but couldn't find evidence that is was or wasn't.  I did find the statement being attributed to the Governor, but couldn't validate if it really was her quote or not.

Regardless of the validation of the author, the quote stands on it's own as a valid point in the ongoing "controversy" over the Arizona law on immigration.  I really don't get, as I have posted earlier, all the "hype" as the Arizona law does NOT overstep the current Federal law that is in place and on the books regarding illegal aliens.  The controversy, I guess, is because the Arizona law will take ACTION on the matter in which the Federal government has NOT implemented their law.  Seems ridiculous to have laws and then NOT enforce them.  Any parent knows how silly and overrun your authority will be if you don't implement consequences.

Here is the "supposed" quote to the Phoenix Suns basketball team players who were protesting the new Arizona law:

Much has been said against Arizona's move to do the Federal Government's job. The following was sent by a friend and pokes fun at the Suns. To see where it came from first, see the last line.

"What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are, but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn't be ejected.
Furthermore, what if Suns' ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?"

Six Flags Controversy!

Just caught wind of this controversy involving the Six Flags in Chicago. (NOTE: from my understanding ALL Six Flags are corporately owned.).  In 2000 the Six Flags groups started a "Muslim Family Day" that is held always on September 12th, lining up with the ending of Ramadan.

This year there is a boycott being called against Six Flags as there are allegations against the Muslim group organizing this event at Six Flags because they could have been involved financially in the 9-11 attacks against America.  Some are saying the date of their "family day" is also offensive as it is the day after the most recent attacks that took place against America.

Clearly this is just the beginning of this issue but I wanted you to know that there are some questions regarding this corporate giant.  This is still America and the spending of our money is what gets corporations attention.  You decide.

SR 519 - Parental Rights

Some of you may not be aware of what is going on in the world with the United Nations' Convention regarding the Rights of the Child.  The 111th United States Congress on May 10, 2010 introduced Senate Resolution 519.

As of November 2009, 194 countries have ratified it, including every member of the United Nations except Somalia and the United States.  When a nation ratifies this convention they are BOUND to it by international law.  If the United States ratifies this convention than INTERNATIONAL LAW would rule over our nations laws when it comes to OUR children and their needs.  This convention could then decide the human rights standard for ALL children of the world (those nations that have ratified this convention).  Everything from immunizations, health and wellness, education and even religion could all be controlled by this world convention.

In Article 7 of the document it states: The child shall be registered immediately after birth...  The Convention is making a documentation process for all children to be assigned a "social worker" if you will, to follow them and implement the "plan" for their life according to the Convention. This is just one of many "scary" things that this Convention is about.  The "convention" will have final authority over the children of the "convention".  Parent's will be secondary to the system.

We need our congress to hear us as we desire to have Americans making laws for Americans, not world conventions.  Currently in the US Senate there are 25 cosponsors on Senate Resolution 519 which opposes US ratification of the UN Convention.  Parental Rights has a list of Senators in the congress and how to contact them on their web-site.  Please CALL  YOUR SENATOR and let your voice be heard.  You can also go to Parental Rights web-site and click on your state, then click on the senator's/representative's name in your area and you will be taken to their home page.  This is a valuable tool to know who to contact and where they are located.

Currently there are a number a states legislatures that have taken up resolutions opposing ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child or are urging Congress to pass the Parental Rights Amendment to the States for ratification.  A few have done both.  Here is a summary of those resolutions by State:
Hawaii
Complementary resolutions supporting the proposed Parental Rights Amendment are currently assigned to committees in the House (H.C. R. 60) and Senate (S.C.R. 74). Action Items: Call your representatives in HI's state House and Senate and urge them to support HCR 60 and SCR 74.
Michigan
H.C.R. 45, a resolution supporting the Parental Rights Amendment, has been introduced in the House with 60 sponsors out of the 110 member body. Action Items: Call your representative in MI's state House and urge him to support HCR 45.

Alaska
S.J.R. 26, supporting the Parental Rights Amendment, was introduced in Alaska's State Senate on January 20, 2010. Action Items: Call your representative in AK's state Senate and urge him to support SJR 26.
Tennessee SUCCESS!
H.J.R. 0369, opposing U.S. ratification of the UN's CRC, passed the General Assembly (70-20) in June 09 and the Senate (26-3) in February 10.

Oklahoma SUCCESS!
H.C.R. 1033, opposing U.S. ratification of the UN's CRC, passed both the House (61-28) and the Senate. The resolution has been referred to OK's Secretary of State.

South Dakota SUCCESS!
H.C.R. 1014, supporting the Parental Rights Amendment, passed both the House (41-28) and the Senate (21-13) in March 2010.
Louisiana SUCCESS!
S.C.R. 38, supporting the Parental Rights Amendment, unanimously passed both the House (93-0) and the Senate (34-0) in June 2010.
Virginia
H.J.R. 193, opposing US ratification of the CRC and supporting the Parental Rights Amendment, passed VA's House (64-31) on Feb. 15th but was killed in a Senate subcommittee through lack of any action at all - they never even met.

Volunteers are working on similar state resolutions in the following states: California, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, and Utah.

Please help to protect the right of children to have their interest protected by their parents over some oversight committee.

NO Mosque at Ground Zero - Jay Sekulow

Have we FORGOTTEN?

Jay Sekulow is the Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) which is a law firm and educational organization that focuses on constitutional law in the United States.  He had an interesting discussing on his radio show yesterday entitled, NO Mosque at Ground Zero.  He addressed many concerns about the $100 million dollar Mosque that is being funding by "NO ONE knows who" and that is scheduled to be erected in New York City (just 600 feet from where Tower One used to stand) and to be dedicated on 9-11's ten year anniversary, next year.  What is also making this matter more troubling, aside from the fact that Muslims throughout history have erected Mosques over the sites of their victories, is that there is a very illusive money trail and some of the names being mentioned have known ties to be anti-American and are associated with radial Muslim groups.  It is also common knowledge that traditionally the Mosque was not only a place of prayer meetings but was also a military training ground since the foundations of Islam.

Tim Brown (former member of the New York Fire Department and who personally was on the location of the buildings during the 9-11 attacks) has been speaking out against this Mosque.  He has been active in this matter from the beginning as has former Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Landmark status has been given to many properties in New York City and some have been pending for over 20 years on what to do with those properties and suddenly a Muslim group was able to purchase this landmark property and have been granted special permissions and status to build on this significant piece of land.  People are beginning to catch wind of all the details and our outraged.  You can call 877-989-2255 to make your voice heard on this matter today to speak out on this potential victory tower in the form of a mosque in New York City.

A side comment that is noteworthy is that President Obama has issued a statement earlier this year saying that people are no longer able to use the word "Islam" or "Jihad" in public government affairs and yet newly appointed Afghanistan commander General Petraeus has issued a doctrine in which he refers to "Islamic insurgents", Islamic extremists" and Islamic subversives".  Seems we have a conflict here and we will have to watch and see in the General has to re-write his doctrine on counterinsurgency.

Once again, please take a minute to call 877-989-2255 and let your voice be heard along with all those in New York City.
